A restless mind

Here’s how I feel about the Sherlock fandom nowadays:

I see a lot of people saying “don’t hate the whole fandom just because there’s a few stupid people in it”, which is implying that the fandom as a whole is great and there are just a few morons in it.

And at one point it was that way. I would’ve gone with that a year ago.

But now I truly feel that the fandom at large is trash, and there are just some good people caught inside it. There are some great little sections of the fandom still turning out great fic, art, and jokes… but on the whole the fandom is just rubbish. It’s filled with disrespectful people who take things to far, people who are way too judgmental about certain things (ships, other adaptations, etc), terribly overused jokes..

I’m not trying to offend anyone, that’s just how I feel.

Obviously I still like Sherlock. Obviously I still like certain members of the fandom. 

It’s just that the group as a whole has gone sour.
